Refund and shipping policy generator
Pick your return window, who pays return shipping and how refunds are paid, and get a refund policy and a shipping policy written in plain English. Anything you did not tell it becomes a clearly marked gap, never an invented promise.

Your drafts. Fill every [ADD: ...] gap and check the list below before these go on your store. This is not legal advice.

Refund and returns policy
Shipping policy
What a good refund policy answers
A buyer reads the policy for one reason: to know what happens if it goes wrong. A policy that works answers five questions in plain words: how long they have, what condition the item must be in, who pays to send it back, how the money comes back, and how long that takes. Every answer you pick above becomes one of those sentences.
What a shipping policy has to say
How long you take to dispatch, which options you offer, how long each takes, what each costs, where you ship, and what happens to a lost or damaged parcel. The generator only writes the times and prices you give it: anything missing is marked as a gap, because a delivery promise you did not make is still one a customer will hold you to.
Why store policies matter more in 2026
Shopify's Help Center lists filled-in store policies, including the refund policy, among the requirements for selling on ChatGPT (checked 16 September 2026). The same pages are what a buyer checks in the last minute before paying, on any channel.
How the generator works
Your answers are sent to OpenAI's API with instructions to use only the facts you gave, write plain English, never invent carriers, times, fees or legal promises, and flag gaps in square brackets. We do not store your answers. If you ship to the EU or the UK with a return window under 14 days, it adds a reminder to check consumer law, which there generally gives online buyers 14 days to cancel most orders.
How this tool works
- Your text is sent to OpenAI's API, which writes the copy, and the answer comes straight back to this page. We do not store what you type.
- The model is told to use only the facts you give it: no invented materials, sizes, certifications, guarantees or review quotes. Check the output against your product before you publish it.
- It is free because we cap it: a few runs per visitor per hour and a daily limit for the whole site. If you hit a limit, the tool says so instead of failing silently.
Written copy is a draft, not a fact-check. You are responsible for what ends up on your product page.
Questions
Is this legal advice?
No. These are drafts in plain English built from your answers. Consumer law differs by country, and you are responsible for what your policies promise, so have them checked if you are unsure.
Do I need a refund policy to sell on ChatGPT through Shopify?
Shopify's Help Center lists filled-in store policies, including the refund policy, among the requirements for selling on ChatGPT (checked 16 September 2026). A clear policy also answers the question buyers ask right before paying.
What if I sell to customers in the EU or the UK?
EU and UK consumer law generally gives online buyers 14 days to cancel most orders. If you choose a shorter window or no returns, the generator flags it so you can check before publishing.
Why are there [ADD: ...] gaps in my draft?
Because the tool will not invent delivery times, carriers or addresses. Every gap is something a customer will hold you to, so it is left for you to fill with the real answer.
