Systeme.io Pricing: Which Plan You Actually Need

Systeme.io costs $0, $17, $47 or $97 a month. On our own free account the upgrade trigger was not contacts: it was one tag, one campaign, one rule.

  8. The short version

Systeme.io has four prices: $0, $17, $47 and $97 a month (systeme.io/pricing, checked 20 September 2026). For a small service business, the thing that ends the free plan is almost never the contact limit. Free gives you 2,000 contacts, which most coaches and clinics take years to reach. What ends it is the "one of everything" row set: one tag, one email campaign, one automation rule, one workflow. We hit all four on our own free account.

So the answer for most readers is short. Stay on Free while you run a single funnel, a single welcome sequence and a single tag. Move to Startup, $17 a month or $170 a year, the week you need a second email campaign, a second tag or a second automation rule. Skip Webinar ($47) unless you actually run evergreen webinars, and skip Unlimited ($97) until you are past 10,000 contacts or reselling the platform to clients.

Where these numbers come from

Two sources, kept apart on purpose:

We have not paid for Systeme.io. Everything below about Startup, Webinar and Unlimited is read from the vendor's own tables, not from a paid account. How we run these checks is on how we test.

What each plan costs, monthly and yearly

Plan Monthly Yearly Effective per month
Free $0 $0 $0
Startup $17 $170 $14.17
Webinar $47 $470 $39.17
Unlimited $97 $970 $80.83

Switching the billing toggle on the pricing page to "Annual billing" shows exactly two extra words next to it: "2 months free" and "Free migration". The arithmetic matches — $170 is ten months of $17 — so a year of Startup saves $34 against paying monthly, and a year of Unlimited saves $194 (systeme.io/pricing, 20 September 2026). There is also a fifth card, "Custom", for teams, with no price and a "Book a call" button.

The row that actually forces the upgrade

This is the part the pricing page buries under contacts. These are the limits our free account reported for itself, and they match the public comparison table today:

What you get one of on Free Free Startup ($17) Webinar ($47) Unlimited ($97)
Tags 1 10 100 Unlimited
Email campaigns 1 10 100 Unlimited
Automation rules 1 10 100 Unlimited
Workflows 1 5 20 Unlimited
A/B tests 1 10 50 Unlimited
CRM pipelines 1 5 20 100
Websites 1 5 20 Unlimited
Blogs 1 5 20 Unlimited
Courses 1 5 20 Unlimited
Custom domains 1 3 10 Unlimited
Sales funnels 3 10 50 Unlimited
Sales funnel steps 15 50 300 Unlimited
Contacts 2,000 5,000 10,000 Unlimited
Students in courses 500 Unlimited Unlimited Unlimited
Evergreen webinars 0 0 10 Unlimited

Read that column of ones the way a business does. One tag means you cannot separate "booked a call" from "downloaded the checklist". One campaign means your welcome sequence is your only sequence: no separate follow-up for the people who did not book. One automation rule means one trigger for the whole business. Emails sent, newsletters, file storage and bookings stay unlimited on every plan, including Free — the ceiling is on structure, not on volume.

For a coach or a clinic, the second tag usually arrives in week two. That is the $17.

Start free, then take Startup when you need tag number two Startup lifts 1 tag to 10, 1 campaign to 10, 1 rule to 10 (systeme.io/pricing, 20 Sept 2026)

Two numbers on the pricing page that disagree with each other

The pricing page carries its own FAQ, stamped "Last updated: April 2026". On 20 September 2026 it said Startup gives you "unlimited funnels, 5 courses" and that Webinar is "unlimited everything plus automated webinar feature".

The comparison table, on the same page, on the same day, says Startup gives 10 funnels and Webinar gives 50 funnels and 100 automation rules. Our own account's plan screen agreed with the table, not the FAQ.

If you are picking a plan, use the table and ignore the FAQ. Buying Startup because a sentence promised unlimited funnels is a $170 decision that the same page contradicts two scrolls further down.

What we could not do on Free, in order

From the build, with times, on 15-16 September 2026:

  1. An affiliate login is not a marketer login. Our existing Systeme.io account had only the affiliate dashboard; /dashboard and /dashboard/automation-rules both returned "403 - Forbidden". A second, regular account had to be created. It cost us a day.
  2. You cannot send anything until a sender is verified. Creating a campaign needs a from-address and the dropdown is empty on a new account. Finding the setting and verifying ours took about six minutes.
  3. Transactional mail still leaves as someone else. With our address showing as Verified, the settings screen still stated that transactional email goes out from client1=liveinaiworld.com@transactional.systemeapp.com unless you authenticate a whole domain.
  4. Your emails advertise Systeme.io by default. "Display my affiliate link at the end of each email I send" is ticked out of the box. It is a checkbox you untick, not a paid feature — but nobody tells you it is on.
  5. Two screens never loaded. On our account, /dashboard/campaigns and /dashboard/newsletters sat on a loading skeleton: 52 network requests, all of them the JavaScript bundle, zero data requests and zero console errors, while every settings screen worked normally.

None of those five is fixed by paying. They are the cost of entry, and they are the reason we say start free: find out whether the product works for you before $170 leaves your account.

We are still running this account

When Systeme.io's campaign screens come back, and when we hit the free plan's real walls, subscribers get the numbers first.

Which plan, by what you are building

Free ($0) — one funnel, one lead magnet, one welcome sequence, under 2,000 contacts, and you are fine indefinitely. The plan screen inside our account listed one more Free-only ceiling that today's public table does not show: a $10,000 sales revenue limit, plus 1 creator store and 3 products. If you sell through Systeme.io, that cap matters before the contact cap does.

Startup ($17 / $170) — the real starting plan for a working service business. It is the jump from one to ten on tags, campaigns, automation rules, upsells, order bumps and coupon codes, from one to five on workflows, websites, blogs, courses and pipelines, from three to ten funnels, and from 500 to unlimited course students. It also doubles the API limit from 30 to 60 requests a minute.

Webinar ($47 / $470) — buy this for one reason: evergreen webinars, which are 0 on both Free and Startup and 10 here. The rest of the jump (10,000 contacts, 100 rules, 50 funnels) is capacity you will feel much later. Note that the vendor's own number moved: our account's plan screen showed 5 evergreen webinars on this tier on 16 September 2026, and the public table showed 10 on 20 September. Check the screen inside your account before you buy on that row.

Unlimited ($97 / $970) — past 10,000 contacts, or you manage client accounts. One honest footnote: "Unlimited" is not unlimited everywhere. CRM pipelines cap at 100 on this plan, per the same table.

Who should not pay Systeme.io anything yet

If your whole list is one welcome sequence and you are under 2,000 contacts, Free does that job and the $17 buys capacity you will not touch. And if the thing you actually need is automation between tools you already use — a booking form into a calendar into a spreadsheet — a marketing platform is the wrong shape of tool. Our make.com pricing breakdown covers that case, where the same job costs well under a cent per booking.

Systeme.io earns the money when the list, the funnel and the emails live in one place and you want one bill.

The short version

  • Prices (20 Sept 2026): Free $0, Startup $17/mo or $170/yr, Webinar $47/mo or $470/yr, Unlimited $97/mo or $970/yr. Annual is "2 months free" and adds free migration.
  • Free is generous on volume — 2,000 contacts, unlimited emails, unlimited storage — and strict on structure: 1 tag, 1 campaign, 1 automation rule, 1 workflow, 3 funnels.
  • Upgrade trigger: your second tag, second campaign or second automation rule. That is Startup, and for most small service businesses it is the last upgrade they need.
  • Ignore the pricing-page FAQ. It is dated April 2026 and contradicts the table above it on the same page.

Frequently asked questions

How much does Systeme.io cost?

Four tiers on systeme.io/pricing (checked 20 September 2026): Free $0, Startup $17 a month or $170 a year, Webinar $47 a month or $470 a year, Unlimited $97 a month or $970 a year. A fifth "Custom" card for teams shows no price.

Is the Systeme.io free plan really free?

Yes. Our own free account, created 16 September 2026, showed a $0 tier with no expiry and no card at signup. It allows 2,000 contacts, 3 sales funnels and unlimited emails, but only one tag, one email campaign, one automation rule and one workflow.

What does the Startup plan add over Free?

It lifts the "one of everything" limits: tags, email campaigns, automation rules, upsells, order bumps and coupon codes go from 1 to 10, workflows, websites, blogs, courses and CRM pipelines from 1 to 5, funnels from 3 to 10, contacts from 2,000 to 5,000, and course students from 500 to unlimited (systeme.io/pricing, 20 September 2026).

Do I need the Systeme.io Webinar plan?

Only for evergreen webinars, which are 0 on both Free and Startup. The public table listed 10 on the Webinar plan on 20 September 2026, while our account plan screen listed 5 on 16 September 2026, so check the number inside your own account first.

Is annual billing on Systeme.io worth it?

Annual billing is advertised as "2 months free" plus free migration, and the prices match: Startup is $170 a year instead of $204, a $34 saving; Unlimited is $970 instead of $1,164 (systeme.io/pricing, 20 September 2026).

Is Systeme.io Unlimited really unlimited?

Almost. On the same comparison table, CRM pipelines are capped at 100 on the Unlimited plan while contacts, funnels, automation rules, tags and custom domains are unlimited (systeme.io/pricing, 20 September 2026).
